Classes in Wimborne and Verwood are available in Tap, Ballet, Freestyle/ Disco/ Street, Dance-Cheer-Pom (Cheerleading), Majorette (Baton Twirling and Dance Twirl) and Skipping (Speed, Tricks, Partners, Teams, Double Dutch)

As well as the specific Classical Ballet Class, we also offer a combined Tap, Freestyle, Cheer and Majorette class for our Wimborne Juniors and Seniors. The combination of these styles is an excellent foundation for dancers as it ensures a continuous build-up of rhythm, strength, poise and performance skills - what more could there be!

Tap - for all those who can't keep their feet still and their toes are always tapping! Tap is a classic form of dance which has been used for years in shows and musicals. It can be simple or detailed and the style can be anything from Broadway to Hip-Hop to Jazz. Tap helps to develop a great sense of rhythm and timing.

Freestyle is exactly that - FREE STYLE. Dances can be made up of almost any move you can think of. This is an extremely energetic and fun form of dancing. You will learn lively routines to your favourite songs. Combining elements of Street Dance, Disco and individual expression, FREESTYLE is guaranteed to keep you fit and keep you smiling.

Dance-Cheer-Pom - This may sound a bit different, but Dance Cheer Pom is basically cheerleading without any stunting. This means you will learn all the dance based elements of cheerleading, but without the lifts and throws. So, pom-poms in hand, you'll be dancing like a real cheerleader in no time!

Majorette - Baton Twirling and Dance Twirl are great fun and within a short time, even the very young students are able to do various moves such as: figure 8, horizontal twirl, elbow roll and pinwheel!

Ballet forms the basis for all other dance styles as it helps develop strength, posture, grace, co-ordination, technique and musical awareness.

Skipping gets you fit and there are many benefits including better endurance, increased flexibility, stronger bones, improved co-ordination and balance. There are hundreds of tricks you can learn and you can skip on your own or with a partner or as a group. Learn the Butterfly and Chinese Wheel with a partner, enjoy the frantic fun of the Long Rope and push your skills to the limit with Double Dutch.
